Do you have “Dry Flakey Skin, Itchy Scalp, Lifeless Hair, Nails?”

Get Excited About Things - Experience Life!

The following question was asked of me when I was heavily involved as a Wellness Company Executive. By the way, I still purchase the products for my personal use. But have a representative that handles all of those that wish to get involved in the program (simply visit the Wellness Company Wholesale program within my home site if interested in how to naturally take care of flakey scalp, skin, have better hair, nails, etc.).

Question “I have flaky dry skin. I’ve been told I have seborrhea by my dermatologist. I’ve been given prescription lotions etc. What causes dry skin? Most of my problems seem to be in the scalp. Although my prescriptions seems to work OK, I’m concerned about the side effect risks as you mention regarding man-made products. Is there any natural alternatives, if so what? There are many reasons for Dry Flakey scalp, skin, hair and nail problems. Much discourse here could be greatly improved if the following knowledge was promoted through a national healthy body, mind, soul campaign. Don’t hold your breath on this one.

Answer. Did you ever notice, your skin condition flare up vs. flare down? Even without medication, I know you’ve noticed times of low to worse skin conditions. Whether it be seborrhea, or some kind of dermatitis. You’ve probably even thought at some point, “maybe I don’t need medication any more.” But to your dismay, the dermatitis returns with a vengence. What does this tell you? It tells me that many of you are experiencing acute to chronic skin conditions caused by toxins in home & ingested products. In other words, the flare ups come and go without consistency in duration and frequency.

Let me give you a good example,

Is Bottled Water Safer Than Tap Water?

I decided to do a little research regarding bottled water to determine if it was safer, or better for your health.   Not only does my family drink bottled water but also many of my friends and family feel that bottled water is better than their own tap water.  I on the other hand am always under argument that our tap water is safe and most likely better quality than what’s purchased in the bottles.  I also can’t see spending an additional cost for bottled water when our municipality provides safe drinking water at our residential tap.  As a Californian I understand that regardless of what impression others may have about our water municipalities… California’s EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) is one of the most stringent in the country when it pertains to tap water supply purity guidelines.

“Bottled Water Statistics: 1) More than one-fifth of tested brands contained levels of bacteria or cancer-causing compounds that exceeded the California limit.  2)  Seventeen percent of tested brands contained more bacteria than allowed under purity guidelines.  3)  Thirteen states have dedicated no staff or resources to regulating bottled water.  4)  In a four-year study of 103 brands of bottled water, one-third contained levels of bacteria or carcinogens and exceeded purity guidelines according to NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) reports.  While many people believe that bottled water contains no chlorine or harmful chemicals, the study found that fluoride, phthalate [recall I wrote an article “Are Leaching Plastics Killing Us?  Phthalates a known carcinogenic in poly plastics from the plastic bottle leaches into consumable liquids.  See Mirror Athlete Enterprises health repository for review of this article”], trihalomethanes and arsenic, a known carcinogen, can be found in some bottled waters.  5)  25 and 40 percent of bottled waters are re-packaged municipal tap water which may or may not have been subject to additional treatment.  6)  Bottled water is required to be tested less frequently than city tap water for bacteria and chemical contaminants.  Just because you buy your water in a bottle doesn’t mean it is any safer, purer or better than water that comes out of your tap.”  7) Some “designer” waters may even pose a health threat to vulnerable people, according to the national study from an environmental watchdog group (http://www.drblank.com/hnbottle.htm).”

There are basically two reasons one should consider bottled water 1) Your tap water has contaminants that are greater than the EPA – tap water supply) and FDA (Federal Drug Administration – bottled water) accepted MCL (Maximum Contaminant Level) standards.  2)  Your water has a strange taste or smell “(http://extoxnet.orst.edu/faqs/safedrink/bottled.htm).”

Recommendations
-Buy filters certified by NSF International, change filters per manufacturer recommendations.
-Check the bottle label – If it says municipal or community source, it comes from tap water.
-Save money by drinking and bottling your tap water if it meets MCL standards.
-Due to bacteria possibilities, bottled water should not be consumed by infants and elderly.

-For more information write to Standards and Practices of bottled water companies: International Bottled Water Association, 113 N. Henry St. Alexandria, VA 22314-2973.

Product Toxins and Asthma Story Relationship

Mirror Athlete Enterprises Question and Answer “Asthma Story”

Q.    Is there any relationship with house hold toxins and asthma?

   A.    Let me share Zachary’s Asthma story with all of you.

When Zachary was 6 months old he was diagnosed with asthma.  My husband and I thought it was strange because no one in our families had asthma.   We were unsuccessful treating him with a nebulizer and steroids.  When he turned 1 and we were still unsuccessful, our Doctor referred us to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to a Pediatric Pumologist.  Up to that point we had been in the doctors office an average of 2 times per week.   They changed his meds to 2 different inhalers that were attached to a chamber for him to breath the meds through.  They also put him on Orapred (a steroid) that can cause stunted growth.   They had me keep this medication in our refrigerator- when he needed it I had to call Iowa City and talk to a doctor on call – they always had to chart it.When Zachary was 6 months old he was diagnosed with asthma. They had me keep this medication in our refrigerator- when he needed it I had to call Iowa City and talk to a doctor on call – they always had to chart it. They had me keep this medication in our refrigerator- when he needed it I had to call Iowa City and talk to a doctor on call – they always had to chart it. We went on like this for another year.

When we moved to North Dakota I was introduced to a Company that had safe, non toxic cleaning products, laundry soap, personal care products, etc.  They told me if you have anyone in your home with asthma, allergies, itchy skin, etc., you will love these products.  I tried them.  It was 100% guaranteed and it was already money I was spending on similar products at Wal-Mart.   It was no new money that came out of my pocket.  Two months after getting rid of the toxic cleaning products we were using,  we saw a remarkable change in Zach’s asthma.  He was no longer wheezing, no longer needed any meds and his lips did not turn blue when he cried now.  It has been the best thing for Zachary we have ever done.  Plus I am saving about $150 a month I was spending on meds.   I am so thankful everyday that I was patient enough to give this a shot- It has made all the difference in the world for Zach.  All we did was switch stores to purchase safe, non-toxic products.  Plus these products are less money and don’t have the toxic chemicals then their equivalent at Wal-Mart.
I have people ask me are you sure it was the products?  I respond to that saying- “We have done nothing else differently and I refuse to go back to what I was buying at Wal-Mart to test it.”  We know- we lived with this little boy for 2 years and have seen the change.  We know it has been the products.  I can not say it has cured his asthma, but it definitely has a handle on controlling the symptoms.
Visit our site Wellness Company page and learn about these natural products as Zachary’s parents discovered.  We offer excellent “NATURAL” products scientifically formulated to remove chemical toxin allergies from your home.

Toxins In Every House Hold Consumer Product, What!

Let me start out by saying, I knew the acceptable FDA approved chemicals used in our foods and household products was a serious matter, but was appalled and outraged by the following statistics:

Ø      1965 to 1982 over 4 million distinct chemical compounds formulated.

Ø      At least 250,000 new formulations created annually since then.

Ø      Approximately 3,000 chemicals are added to our foods.

Ø      700 have been found in drinking water.

Ø      Over 500 can be found under kitchen sinks or laundry rooms in American homes.

Ø      Over 800 neurotoxin chemical compounds used in cosmetic-perfume industries.

Don’t believe me, [Rub a Dub, Dub…is Cancer in Your Tub?  www.netnewspbl.com].

For your family’s health, I want you to take this challenge to prove the statistical point listed above.  Look for 3/600 toxic product ingredients (listed below) found in your everyday household items as known carcinogens or a health-cell mutation risk to humans:

Ø      What’s Anit-Freeze doing in your shampoos, deodorants, cosmetics, lotions, toothpastes and pet food, etc.?  Yes the main ingredient is Anti-freeze, “Propylene Glycol.”  “It’s all about the chemical industry money machine.”

Ø      What are concrete floor cleaner, engine degreaser and car wash detergents doing in hundreds of other personal home care and cleaning products, such as bath & body products, etc.?  The main ingredient is SLS “Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.”

Ø      What is a known cause, or contributor to cancer, or of being potentially dangerous or hazardous to our health doing in shampoos, conditioners, bubble baths, lotions, cosmetics, soaps, laundry and dishwashing detergents? The main ingredient is DEA “Diethanolamine.” “It’s all about the money.”

Still don’t believe me.  Check the back of your household cleaning, or hygiene product bottles.  I’m willing to bet you have at least 1 of 3 of these toxic ingredients in each one of your personal use items.  Most likely, you have all 3, with many other chemicals I simply can’t list here.  If you are using products with these chemicals, the best advice I can give you is to replace all of your cleaning and personal hygiene products with our “clean green” wholesale Wellness Company products (~400 household items).  See our Product Wellness Stores.  Make the decision to change stores now for your families health sake   In the last article I wrote, I discussed at length the importance of good quality supplement absorption.  The chemicals in our everyday house hold products and chemicals ingested through our processed foods are at war with our bodies.  It is more important then ever to remove the toxic household product problem & supplement our diets with good quality absorption minerals and vitamins.   This would be the right direction in repairing tissue damage done by chemical absorption-ingestion and remove the source that most likely has made us sick for so many years.  This phenomenon is also related to “Sick Building Syndrome.”
